St Ignatius College, Patri Ġużè Delia, Siġġiewi Primary

In November 2023, as part of a learning curve in their holistic education, a selection of Year 5 students from our school participated in a 5-a-side football tournament organised by the PE Department. The phase 1 games were played over two days, with four 25-minute games per day. Stella Maris Team 1, Stella Maris Team 2, Birzebbugia Primary, and Marsaxlokk Primary were the opponents. The eight selected students were actively involved in all games, and the results were quite encouraging, as Siggiewi Primary managed to win six games, draw one, and lose one.

Overall, it was a really positive experience for all of the students that participated, and they are eager to compete again in the phase 2 of the tournament that will commence in February 2024.

Għal darb’oħra erġajna organizzajna l-festa tradizzjonali ta’ San Nikola. Il-preparazzjonijiet bdew minn ġimgħat qabel u l-ħidma kollettiva bejn l-amministrazzjoni tal-iskola u grupp ta’ voluntiera tat il-frott tagħha nhar l-Erbgħa 6 ta’ Diċembru fejn reġgħet saret il-purċissjoni tat-tfal bis-sehem taż-żewġ baned tas-Siġġiewi. Il-purċissjoni ħarġet mill-iskola u mxiet sal-knisja, fejn ġiet iċċelebrata quddiesa tal-festa għat-tfal kollha preżenti. Ir-ritratti li jifhru hawn taħt kienu miġbuda mis-sur Twanny Mifsud.

Għeżież Ġenituri,

Nhar il-Ħamis 21 ta’ Diċembru ser isir il-kunċert tal-Milied ġos-sala tal-iskola. L-istudenti ilhom għal dawn l-aħħar ġimgħat jippreparaw bis-sħiħ għal dan il-kunċert. Waqt il-kunċert ser ikun hemm fotografu biex jiġbed ir-ritratti u persuna oħra li se tkun qed tiġbed il-video b’mod professjonali.

Qed jitqassmu ukoll il-biljetti għad-dħul fis-sala. Kull familja għandha żewġ biljetti għall-omm u l-missier. Il-postijiet fis-sala huma limitati minħabba li l-popolazzjoni tal-istudenti dejjem qed tikber. Napprezzaw il-koperazzjoni tagħkom f’dan ir-rigward.  Importanti li dakinhar iġġibu magħkom il-biljetti biex tkunu tistgħu tidħlu fis-sala. Dħul minn Triq l-Iskola.

Infakkarkom ukoll li fit-22 ta’ Diċembru ġewwa l-iskola ssir il-purcissjoni tal-Bambin u wara jsir il-festin tat-tfal fil-klassijiet. Importanti li t-tfal igibu ilma x’jixorbu magħhom. Din tkun l-aħħar ġurnata għal dan it-term u dakinhar l-iskola tispiċċa f’12.00pm. Il-ħruġ jibda bħas-soltu kwarta qabel. L-iskola terġa’ tiftaħ il-bibien fid-8 ta’ Jannar 2024.

Dear Parents

The Christmas concert is going to be held on Thursday 21^st December.  During the last weeks, students have been working hard to prepare for this concert. During the concert there will be a photographer and a videographer.

The children have been given two tickets per family, one for the mother and one for the father. Seats in the hall are very limited due to the fact that the student population has increased. We appreciate your cooperation in this regard. It is important that you bring the tickets with you to enter the hall. Entrance is from School Street.

May I kindly remind you that on the 22^nd December, there will be the procession of Baby Jesus in the school, followed by the class parties. It is important that students get their own water to drink. Since this will be the last day of school for this term, school will end at 12.00pm.  Dismissal will start at 11.45am as per usual schedule.  The school will open its doors again on the 8^th January.
