ITAMA study – more information for parents

  1. ITAMA study is meant for children of ages 4 to 12 years.  Hence it’s applicable to children from K2 until Yr 8.
  2. The testing will be done by qualified professional nurses that are following full H&S protocols in line with the mitigation measures currently in act due to the pandemic.

  1. Regarding delivery of results:

Children whose point of care test result negative will not be contacted.  The parents are advised that the process should not last longer than 8 weeks, hence if no contact is done towards them from Mater Dei Hospital within 8 weeks of the date of testing, this means that their child tested negative.

Children whose point of care test result positive will be contacted by Mater Dei. If the child’s test results positive, this might indicate that the child is coeliac, hence Mater Dei will contact the parents (using the contact details entered in the consent form) and will suggest a follow up with the child at the outpatients department of the hospital.

Please note that due to data protection, only Mater Dei has access to the names of the children.  Neither the project nor the school will be informed of the results.  Only parents of children with positive results will be contacted.

Fit-tieni u t-tielet term tas-sena skolastika 2020-21, il-Promoturi tal-Qari permezz tal-Isport tal-Aġenzija Nazzjonali tal-Litteriżmu se jkomplu jagħmlu l-isfidi kalċistiċi wara l-ħin tal-iskola u fil-vaganzi tal-iskola. Għal dan il-għan, l-Aġenzija qiegħda tilqa’ talbiet mingħand ġenituri/kustodji ta’ tfal, li twieldu fis-snin 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 u 2013 li wliedhom jixtiequ jipparteċipaw f’din l-attività. Ftit jiem wara li japplikaw,
il-ġenituri/kustodji jingħataw data, ħin (wara nofsinhar) u post biex uliedhom jagħmlu l-isfida.
Kull min jipparteċipa jingħata ktieb, ċertifikat iffirmat minn ex plejers tat-tim nazzjonali Malti u tifkiriet tal-okkażjoni.
Dawk it-tfal li jirnexxilhom jegħlbu l-isfidi jingħataw żewġ kotba u ballun iffirmat mill-istess promoturi. L-Aġenzija, fit-twettiq ta’ din l-attività, timxi mal-istruzzjonijiet ta’ saħħa u sigurtà mogħtija mis-Supretendenza tas-Saħħa Pubblika.
Il-ġenituri/kustodji ta’ tfal li huma interessati jistgħu japplikaw billi jimlew il-formola t’hawn taħt u jibagħtuha lil nla@ilearn.edu.mt. L-applikazzjonijiet jintlaqgħu sa mhux iktar tard minn nhar il-Ġimgħa, 26 ta’ Marzu 2021.

DLAP 029 – Formola

In the second and third term of scholastic year 2020-2021, the National Literacy Agency Sports Literacy Leaders will deliver more football skills challenges activities during after-school hours and in the school holidays.
The Agency encourages parents/guardians whose children were born in the years 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 to ask their children to take part in this activity. Once they apply, parents/guardians will be given a specific date, time and location for their child to complete the challenge.
All participants will be awarded a book, a certificate of accomplishment and other tokens. Participants who complete the activity successfully will be awarded two books and a ball signed by ex-footballers of the Maltese national team. The Agency will be adhering to the health and safety measures issued by the Public Health Authorities throughout the activities.
Parents/guardians who are interested may apply by filling in the below form and sending it to nla@ilearn.edu.mt. The closing date for applications is Friday, 26th March 2021.
