Olive Pressing

On Wednesday 30th October, we together with some other members of the EkoSkola committee went to a farm in Siggiewi for an olive pressing experience. The people in charge of the place showed us how to make olive oil by using machinery to press olives. The process of how the machines work was explained to us. Then they gave us some olive oil to taste. They also told us that if we put two different types of oil on a plate, the oil which is best will push the other one back. We really enjoyed this outing and would love to go again!

EkoSkola Parliament

On Wednesday 3rd April we went to Valletta to take part in the EkoSkola Parliament that is held every year.  There were a lot of children from different eco-schools in Malta and Gozo.  In parliament there was a mix of children and politicians.  The children made some suggestions to the politicians of how we can take better care of our environment.
