Jum il-Karnival

F’dawn ir-ritratti hawn togħma żgħira tal-attivitaijiet li tellajna f’Jum il-Karnival. Fosthom kellna sorpriża sabiħa għat-tfal fejn grupp ta’ mużiċisti tas-samba, Batuca Team, għamlu xow sabiħ u ferrħu lil kull min kien hemm fis-sala. Il-klassi tat-tieni sena ta’ Ms Nadia, ippreparaw preżentazzjoni dwar il-Karnival, waqt li l-klassi tal-ħames sena ta’ Ms Geraldine tellgħu żfin varjat. Kellna wkoll żfin ippreparat minn membri tal-istaff u minn ġenituri, li ħadu ħsieb ukoll iżejnu s-sala għall-okkażżjoni. Bis-saħħa ta’ dawn kollha stajna nferrħu lit-tfal f’dan il-jum. Grazzi minn qalbna.

In these photos, there is a small representation of the activities we had during Carnival Day. Among them, we had a nice surprise for the children where a group of samba musicians, Batuca Team, put on a beautiful show and entertained everyone in the hall. Class 2.3 prepared a presentation about Carnival whilst class 5.4 put on a variety of dances.  We also had carnival dances prepared by staff members and by parents, who also decorated the hall for the occasion. A big thanks goes to all those who helped us make the children happy on this day. Thank you

A visit to Siġġiewi Parish Church by the Eko Skola Committee

On Tuesday  17th  January Eko Skola committee members visited the Siġġiewi Parish Church as part of their work on the heritage trail.

We visited at around noon. The church was closed at that time and Fr.Josef opened the church just for us. We had time to admire many works of art that decorate the ceiling.   The visit was even more fun when we climbed the narrow staircase to see the church organ and when we visited the roof of the church. What a nice and different view we could enjoy from up there! Finally we had a close look at the bells. It was so lovely to see and hear them so close.
