Year 3.2 Etwinning Project

Our class participated in an Etwinning project called Steaming Safely on the Road.  This project’s aim was to make the pupils aware of how to stay safe on the road.  The children discussed, planned and built a city using recyclable materials.  They also built and programmed Traffic Lights using Robo Wunderkind.  The children came up with the idea of building a lift for the school and this was done with the Lego WeDo sets.  We presented our work during a special Assembly.  The children shared some tips with other classes and also presented a song about the topic.

EkoSkola: The Siggiewi Heritage Trail

On Wednesday 14th the EkoSkola committee launched the Siggiewi Heritage Trail that they have been working on throughout this scholastic year. This trail tried to give a taste of historical, natural and cultural places in Siggiewi. We were very lucky that different people from the community went out of their way to help us out for the good of the children who explored new places and saw familiar places from a different perspective. This video shows how the trail was developed: https://youtu.be/hxkWV1kVeYo

Laqgħat ta’ Konsultazzjoni

Il-Grupp ta’ Ħidma għall-Istrateġija Nazzjonali għall-Edukazzjoni 2024–2030 japprezza tal-irwol ċentrali li l-ġenituri u l-gwardjani għandhom fil-mixja edukattiva ta’ wliedhom. Għal dan il-għan, se jkunu organizzati numru ta’ laqgħat għall-ġenituri sabiex il-pilastri li qed jiġu proposti għall-Istrateġija Nazzjonali għall-Edukazzjoni 2024-2030 jiġu esplorati u diskussi. Il-kummenti li se nirċievu matul dawn il-laqgħat se jkunu miżjuda mal-osservazzjonijiet u kummenti oħra li l-Grupp ta’ Ħidma rċieva fil-ġimgħat li għaddew u li ġew sottomessi mill-edukaturi, mill-mexxejja tal-iskejjel u minn entitajiet u partijiet oħra li ġew ikkonsultati.
