Siġġiewi Heritage Trail : Visit to Verdala Palace

I, Khole Marie Grima, am the secretary of EkoSkola committee. On Saturday 4^th March, together with the school council we had the opportunity to go to the Verdala palace. As you may already know, the EkoSkola committee are working on a ’Siggiewi Heritage Trail’. One of the places that we are including in the heritage trail is this palace. The palace was built in 1586. There are paintings of the same period in the palace. Something that struck me in the tour was when we learnt how the English and French occupied the Verdala palace.  I really enjoyed this visit!
