Special Assembly Year 5.1: World Children’s Day

For today’s assembly, we focused on Diversity and World Children’s Day. We started by saying that we are all different and we should all be included. The children mentioned one thing about themselves that might be different from the rest. For example; being Muslim, Catholic, left-handed, dark skin, have reading glasses and being loud. Then we decided to show the importance of kindness for World Children’s Day. We prepared a song ‘Be Kind’ where it mainly says that we need to use our ‘minds to be kind, be smart use your heart, intend to be a friend and kindness never ends.’ Finally, the children shared some facts about World Children’s Day.
