World Diabetes day is celebrated on 14 November. On that day, the pupils of Year 6.3 prepared a special assembly to give us more information about diabetes. They explained how people with diabetes monitor their blood sugar levels using the ‘Continuous Glucose Monitoring’ device. They emphasised that although people with diabetes have to take extra care, they can still take part in their daily activities, such as playing sports and going out with friends. The blue circle is the logo of World Diabetes day. At the end of the assembly, the pupils gave a blue circle to each class to help raise awareness about this condition.
