On behalf of the EkoSkola Committee and The Malta Guide Dogs Foundation, we would like to thank all the pupils at our school and their families, for taking part in Friday’s Dress Down Day. All the money that we collected during this day will be given to the Malta Guide Dogs Foundation. During the first activity in October, people from the foundation visited us at school and taught us how we can improve their lives such as by keeping the pavements clear and by not distracting their guide dogs. We got to know that one guide dog costs around 14,000 euro. We had organised a fundraising activity where each class was encouraged to colour in a picture of a guide dog. We collected 504 euro. During the Dress Down Day, we managed to collect another 831 euro, totalling to 1,335 euro. There’s another activity in the pipeline and we’re sure that you will all help us again.
